This is my father-in-law's chili recipe. Anyone who knows him knows how much he loves ketchup. I always love to pair cornbread with whatever style chili I make. This time I spread a little bit of jalapeno honey on top of the muffins to balance out the sweetness of the ketchup. Pairs well with Monday Night football.

Ingredients:
2lbs ground protein of your choice, I used turkey
1 packet of Williams' chili seasoning
2 -15oz cans stewed tomatoes, undrained, crushed by hand
2 -15oz cans red kidney beans, drained
1/2 bottle of ketchup (Heinz is preferred)
Directions:
In a large pot (I use a Dutch oven) brown the meat until the pink is gone.
While the meat is cooking, pour the stewed tomatoes into a bowl. Crush tomatoes into the texture of your liking. Set aside.
When meat is done drain the fat.
Sprinkle the chili seasoning over the meat. Mix the seasoning into the meat, coating it with the spices.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beans. Give it a good stir.
Squeeze in the ketchup. Stir.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for at least 30-40 minutes.

Let me know if you tried it and what you thought!
